Caring For Your Jewelry

We want your jewelry to last! Here are some tips to help maintain the integrity of your pieces:

Cleansing Your Jewelry

Stones are believed to have an extensive memory, remembering where they've been, who they've touched, and all forces and energies that have surrounded them. A stone can pass onto others any energy that it has stored within it. Periodically, stones need to be cleansed of any unwanted energies that they may have collected from you, from others, or from the environment.

Although each Lotus & Evergreen creation has been lovingly crafted with the most positive intentions, it is often a good idea to cleanse your jewelry when you first receive it. This will allow for the gemstones to be clear and ready for your own positive vibes to be programmed.

There are many methods in use today for cleansing gemstones and crystals in order to increase the effects of their metaphysical energies. We recommend either placing your gemstones in sunlight, moonlight, gentle running water or using a sage or cedar smudge stick. During cleansing, intend to connect with your crystals and you will intuitively know when the cleanse is complete.

Extending the Life of Your Jewelry

Lotus & Evergreen bracelets and malas are handcrafted from high quality elements. It is strongly recommended that you do not exercise, bathe or swim wearing your jewelry to maintain its natural strength and beauty. We recommend treating your pieces with great care and storing them in a safe place while not in use. If your item happens to break due to less than gentle wear, please contact us and we will do our best to assist in repairing it.

To maintain the integrity of your stretch bracelets, we recommend gently rolling them on and off to minimize the extent they are stretched to their capacity.

If your silk tassel needs to be re-shaped, you can help by gently dampening and combing through with your fingers. While damp, you can also trim off any ends that may become worn over time.
